AIRLINE REGULATIONS
Explorica recommends that you review the regulations and suggestions on the Transportation Security Administration travel information page to ensure that your luggage meets the transportation requirements.
We also strongly recommend you check with your flight provider regarding their luggage charge policies. Please note that any additional charges applied by your flight provider regarding luggage are neither collected by Explorica, nor included in your Tour Fee. Here are some links to our partners' baggage policies. Please note: Luggage restrictions for flights to China are even more restrictive than most countries. There is a limit of 20 KG (about 44 pounds) for checked baggage and 5 KG (about 11 pounds) for carry-on luggage.
The US Transportation Security Administration warns travelers of additional security regulations on their inbound flight to the United States. Travelers with any electronic or battery powered devices (mobile telephones, tablets, e-books, laptops, etc.) may be required to turn on their device in front of security teams and/or demonstrate the item’s functionality. If travelers are not able to demonstrate that their device has power, they will not be allowed to take their device with them on their planned service. It will not be possible for travelers to place the item in their hand or hold luggage - they will have to leave the item behind or rebook an alternative flight at their own expense. Explorica advises travelers to do all they can to ensure that items are fully powered before arriving at the airport.
